Palm oil is one of the most produced oils in the world. The global demand for palm oil is overgrowing. The traditional manual crushing method for extracting palm oil can no longer meet the palm oil market's needs. The RS three-phase decanter centrifuge provides an effective separation and purification program for palm oil processing plants' processing process. It can help palm oil mills process fresh palm fruit bunch (FFB) into crude palm oil (CPO), and it has the characteristics of high efficiency and high purity. Simultaneously, the equipment can work automatically and continuously for a long time, which can significantly improve the refining efficiency of palm oil. In the extraction of palm oil, the RS palm oil decanter is used for: Direct processing of the crude oil after the screw press; Oil recovery from empty fruit bunch liquor; Crude oil recovery from the sludge after the CS tank; Crude oil recovery from the wastewater flow of the palm oil mill.

Operating Principle
The purpose of separation is to separate out substances with different mass ratios from mixed fluid.Separation forms included solid-liquid separation,liquid-liquid separation and liquid-liquid-solid separation.
When mixed fluid enters rotating bowl of centrifuge through feed tube ,solids with larger density would rapidly deposit on inner wall of the bowl,forced by centrifugal acceleration.Then spiral pusher pushed deposited solids to taper end of the bowl,and discharges them out of centrifuge from residual outlet.Meanwhile, liquid phase with smaller density forms a liquid ring layer and discharges from bowl through overflow port,the bowl and spiral pusher run at a high speed simultaneously ,for there exists speed discrepancy,deposited solids on the wall of bowl could be conveyed to residue outlet by spiral pusher.This separation process carry out continuously.

The bowl design is carefully selected to balance the various needs for integrity,stability, smooth operation, minimized windage, high durability, low wear, and easy maintenance, while ensuring the principle process functions. The design is modular to allow an easy fit to different basic process conditions by adjustment of diameter, length, and cone angle. The overall design is optimized to minimize the power consumption and provide the best possible stiffness.

Oil Palm Processing Process
1. Fresh fruit bunches are sent to preliminary pressing factory within 24h after harvest (mainly to prevent the increase of FFA).
2. Heat the fruit bunches to 150 and keep the temperature for 85min to sterilize the fruits and boil out the stalks.
3. Use winder - peeling machine to separate the fruits from bunches. Bunches can be used for combustion and fruits are introduced to silo.
4. Send the fruits into screw press for high-pressure pressing. The pressed cake containing kernel (unbroken, containing palm kernel oil) is squeeze out from the machine head, and the liquid (mainly palm oil) is discharged from the liquid outlet of the presser.
5. The liquid is discharged from the outlet to the 100m³ tank, and be heated by water (maximum 100°C). After standing, the upper raw palm oil in the tank is directly discharged into the three-phase disc centrifuge to be separated; and the lower water containing palm oil is separated in the 3 phase decanter (oil+water+dreg).
6. The palm oil separated in the three-phase decanter is returned to the 100m³ tank for standing and extraction of raw palm oil.
